The centerpiece of Hide-A-Way, around which the community is designed, is its chain of three scenic lakes that are 148 acres,80 acres, and 7 acres in size. The lakes provide both great natural beauty and multiple recreational opportunities. Docks are available in four locations for mooring or fishing, and there are six boat launching sites to accommodate fishing boats, pontoon boats, sail boats, canoes, and other craft.
A lake management program guided by a consulting aquatic biologist helps ensure the health and development of the fish population in the lakes, it also ensuring water quality and preventing the growth of nuisance vegetation.
The beautiful lakeside beach provides a great place for sunning, volleyball, picnicking, and other fun on the sand. Overlooking the beach is the junior Olympic swimming pool featuring full time lifeguards, water aerobics classes, and a snack bar during the summer season.
Flocks of ducks, an occasional bald eagle, and beautiful sunsets make Hide-A-Way's lakes a wonderful place for enjoying nature and an enjoyable end of the day.
